Craig has over 30 years’ business experience with a focus on commercial and financial management. He has worked for listed, private, chartered accountancy, not-for-profit and local government entities in a wide diversity of industries – service, property, primary sector, health, local government, manufacturing, FMCG, software and education.

Over the years Craig has worked in both contract and permanent roles encompassing extensive audit work, professional training, project management, financial controllerships and troubleshooting, staff mentoring and general management. He has experience in capital raising, business acquisitions and disposals and the associated legal documentation. At a senior level he has negotiated business transactions and been involved in dispute resolution.

Craig is passionate about providing targeted support to businesses to help with their growth aspirations but most importantly ensuring the project is successfully delivered. He believes strongly in core values, such as honesty, integrity and respect, which are frequently quoted clichés in business but too often abandoned in times when they are most needed.

Craig completed his arts and commerce degrees from the University of Auckland, and throughout his career has developed talents in problem solving and conceptual thinking, ably supported by excellent written and verbal skills fine-tuned from his studies in literature and an initial stint as a teacher. He is professionally qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA) and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Craig is married to Annette, with whom he shares a house in Onehunga not far from Cornwall Park. His interests include squash, music, walking and reading.
